Grandia lands on Euro PSN
Originally released in 1997 on SEGA Saturn and in 1999 on PlayStation, today is released on PSN for the small price of £6.29.
A classic JRPG from Game Arts(who recently released Lunar Silvarstar Harmony on PSP). The game centres around protagonist Justin who gets caught up in an adventure against General Baal.
It’s a classic adventure with a great battle system. For £6.29 you’ll...

So long old friend, Retronauts: The End!
Well fours year of great podcasting have passed and now we face the end of my favourite gaming podcast. Epsiode 99 marks the end of this terrific era.
For anyone who hasn’t listened to the show before grab them from here: http://www.1up.com/do/minisite?cId=3156908
Some of my favourites were Episodes 31(the Mario episode), 35(Saturn), 36(Phantasy Star), 38(Final Fantasy VII), 43(Metal...
Welcome back Sonic, but I believe you forgot...
So Sonic 4 launched today on PSN and XBLA. I downloaded it eagerly to see the return of the 2D Sonic of old and it all seems to be there, gorgeous to look at, runs super smooth and some classic music/sound effects. But something is missing. The game just doesn’t feel right to play.
Before playing Sonic 4, I turned on Sonic 1 on XBLA and had a quick blast, everything flows and feels...
The Castlevania Retrospective Video Game, Part II:... →
Now this part has the best of the series, from Super Castlevania IV to Symphony of the Night. Wonderful.
The Castlevania Retrospective Video Game, Part I:... →
Okay, so I like the Castlevania series a bit too much, but Gametrailers have done a cool retrospective of the Castlevania series. Check out parts 1 above, part 2 to follow shortly.
25th Anniversary Mario Wii coming to Europe
This awesome bundle will be coming to Europe on October 29th. The bundle includes a red Wii, New Super Mario Bros Wii, Wii Sports, the new Wii remote with Motion + built in and pre-installed Donkey Kong.
Update: Seems the Mario 25th Anniversary DSi XL is Europe bound on the same day with New Super Mario Bros packed in.
So a new 3D Castlevania has been released!
Castlevania Lords of Shadow was released in Europe on Friday, I managed to spend a good 10 hours or so with it over the weekend and after a bumpy start have found myself utterly enthralled with this game.
The game sees you as Gabriel Belmont, who sets out to defeat the Lords of Shadow and bring back to life your dead wife. So far so generic. Luckily the game’s story is building towards...

Don’t waste time reading this. The greatest Final Fantasy released on PlayStation is available now to download for £7.99 :)
Released in 1999, the game followed the story of original brooding emo Squall Leonheart and his journey to save the world and find love.
The game is full of a great and memorable characters, as well as an amazing battle system and excellent card fighting mini...
Sonic 4 announced for PSN/WiiWare/XBLA
- Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 - Released this summer on XBLA, PSN, and WiiWare - Likely coming to iPhone / iPod Touch / iPad later as well judging by the “?” platform on the title screen at the end of the trailer - Picks up right after Sonic 3 & Knuckles as far as story goes (so falls in Sonic 2 / Sonic 3 / Sonic & Knuckles storyline) - spin dash, power sneakers, and...
Vinyl Fantasy VII and Ocarina of Rhyme
An interesting mash up of hip hop and Final Fantasy VII. It works surprisingly well and even someone who is adverse to hip hop music like I am, still can find it enjoyable. Click the link: http://teamteamwork.bandcamp.com/album/vinyl-fantasy-7
Also over at the same site is the excellent Ocarina of Rhyme.

Game & Watch to return in Japan in March
Takara are remaking these blasts from the past, for release in Japan in March of this year. Nintendo oversaw and gave their blessing to these reproductions, There’s also a battery cover (fake) that you won’t need due to the solar-powered feature they added. Parachute, Octopus and Chef are coming down the line soon. I shall to try my hardest to pick these new releases up.

Mega Man 10 confirmed for WiiWare
This months Nintendo Power reveals Mega Man 10 is coming to WiiWare. Mega Man 9 is one of the best downloads and the best Mega Man since Mega Man 3. Colour me excited. Hopefully PSN/XBLA/minis/DSiWare releases are planned too.
Nintendo Trade Mark from 1955 in New York Times
It’s so weird to think that Nintendo are now in their third century of business. They have come along way.
I would love to track down so of the early playing cards made with Rose petals.

To be this good takes.......lots of compilations
BBFC outs yet another Sonic compilation. This time the Nintendo DS and PlayStation 3 are on the receiving end.
Called the Sonic Classic Collection, it contains the Mega Drive classics(go figure). Some rumours suggest it could be the leaked Sonic classic Blu Ray that will retail in America for $100. At that price you’d expect Sonic himself to serve you or at least contain every single...
The wait is almost over!
Super Mario Kart and Pilotwings(SNES) are on their way to Virtual Console, at least in the States.
We’ve been waiting since the launch of the service for these two stellar classics. The year has been an awful one for Virtual Console but 2010 could go out with a Bang :D
Now where is Yoshi’s Island?
Thanks to Gamespot for the news:

All I want for Christmas is....Mario
So New Super Mario Bros Wii will launch on UK shelves in two days. I
couldn’t actually be more excited about the game. But I have asked the wife to get me it for Christmas, this may have been a bad idea. The TV advertising campaign is in full swing, every website I visit has the advertising banner and everywhere I go there are people buzzing about the game. The ten year old Chris inside...
